Dear Community Members,
These are historic times. We are all facing the reality of COVID-19 affecting our daily routines and changing our lives forever. During these difficult times, saving lives and supporting our community is what matters the most.
On March 13th, our team made the hardest decision to close down our operations to ensure the safety of our staff and customers. On March 30th, Virginia Governor Ralph Northam issued a "stay-at-home" order and required of all food establishments to stay closed until June 10th. It now appears that there is a strong possibility that we will remain closed until summer months.
While we are looking for other ways to serve our community, it’s our responsibility to take care of one and another while doing the best for our staff’s health and safety. We are like a family here; a family that is passionate about promoting Turkish coffee culture while bridging cultures one cup at a time. I am so proud of each member of our incredible staff for staying extremely strong while we were caught in this public health emergency.
That’s why I have decided to launch an emergency support fund for our team members who make a living from our establishment. 100% percent of the funds will be solely donated to our employees to support them with pushing through in this time of uncertainty. The amount raised will exclude owners.
We know everyone has been affected of this unprecedented situation. Therefore, donations of any size will be greatly appreciated to keep our mission and values on course.
